Apple Seeds OS X El Capitan Beta 5

Apple has today seeded the fifth beta of OS X 10.11 to developers. This comes less than a week after the release of beta 4. We’re currently not sure why Apple seeded this update so early. They almost always stick to their every other week schedule, seeding it alongside new betas of iOS and watchOS. Today’s update is only for OS X, with no iOS or watchOS updates. We’re expecting those to come next week.

There are no release notes with this build so we’re not sure what’s new but will update this post are more things are discovered. We’re likely to see some small bug fixes and improvements, but nothing much.

This update is available via the Mac App Store > Updates > Software updates > OS X 10.11 beta 5. If you don’t have it yet you can download it from the Apple Developer Center.
