Google has today launched the Android Wear app for iOS. Before, smartwatches running Android Wear were only available on Android. Now, the new app launched today brings the watches to iOS. Before, the only smartwatches that you could use with iOS were the Pebble and Apple Watch. Now, all upcoming watches like the LG Watch and Asus ZenWatch will work. However, all current models don’t really work. Some users have reported that after a factory reset they do work with iOS.
Because this is Android Wear, there are some neat little features that you don’t get with the Apple Watch. You can add a custom watch face, downloaded from the Android Wear store, apps, and more. Android Wear will work on iPhones running iOS 8.2 and higher.
