Apple has today confirmed the date of WWDC 2016 and also launched the ticket lottery for developers interested in attending the event. Like Siri confirmed this morning, it will be held on June 13 throught the 17th in San Francisco at the Moscone West Convention Center.
Developers that are interested can enter in the lottery here. 1000 developers will be selected at random to attend the event. It will cost $1,599 to get in. Apple is also doing scholarships for young developers this year as well. However, unlike last year, the apps submitted do not need to be about the developer. It can any app they made. In place of the about the developer section, they will need to answer some questions on themselves. 350 free tickets will be given away to the winners of the scholarships. New this year is scholarships to 125 aspiring developers who cannot afford to go.
At this event we’re expecting to learn more about iOS 10, OS X 10.12, watchOS 3, and tvOS 10. There have also been a few rumors about some product releases, like a new Apple Watch.
