Apple has today seeded the first beta of iOS 10.1 to developers. This comes only a week after launching iOS 10 to the public. With this version of iOS we don’t see much of anything. We usually see something major with a .x version like this. The only thing that we have found with this update is a new feature called “Portrait” mode on the iPhone 7 Plus. This is the new depth of field mode that Apple promised back at the media event a few weeks ago. It will use the 56mm lens to capture the subject while the 28mm lens captures background data which will be blurred later on.
To get iOS 10.1, developers can go to the Apple Developer Center and download the profile which will allow OTA update. You can also manually download and install the IPSW via iTunes.
