Apple today announced that they will be having the annual World Wide Developers Conference June 5th through the 9th. Unlike previous years, this even will be held in San Jose. Usually, it takes place in San Francisco at the Moscone West Convention Center. Now, it’ll be held at the McEnery Convention Center.
Apple will hold their usual lottery to pick 5,000 developers to attend the event. Admission is the usual $1,599 fee. Registration to try and get a ticket opens Monday, March 27. They will also be taking app submissions by students for a scholarship and free ticket to the event. Right now there is limited information on that but Apple says they’ll provide more info in the coming weeks.
At this event we’re expecting to see iOS 11, macOS 10.13, tvOS 11, and watchOS 4. We don’t usually hear rumors about future OS updates, so what will be new is unknown.
